Jersey Jam is a friendly low key open jam format for all levels of singers and musicians. We meet at the Robin's Nest in Linden, NJ which is a Blues Club. The majority of the songs performed as a courtesy to the venue are blues based. We go off the reservation though to perform Jazz, R&B, Rock, Funk, and some original material in addition to the blues. Back in November of 2008, I created an Old New York Sing-Along at the Bowery Poetry Club. I had no idea what I was doing ... but it was a start. Then I connected with singer-musician Anne Phillips ("The Jazz Nativity") and we realized we could do a group sing together. We started an East Coast version of SING! SING!
